Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding, noise reduction, WAV export and the output checks all run inside your browser using WebAssembly and a Web Worker. Your recording never leaves your device. The speech model itself is downloaded once from this site and then cached by your browser.
Which browsers work?
Voice Enhancer has been tested on Windows desktop Chrome and Edge. Firefox, Safari, and mobile devices are untested, and the page shows a warning instead of blocking them. Processing is memory-heavy, so on a low-memory device a shorter clip may be needed.
What is the difference between 25% and 50%?
25% is the recommended, conservative blend. The optional 50% setting removes more noise but can also attenuate speech, breaths, laughter, music and other expressive sounds. There is no 100% setting. Always review the download before sharing it.
What format do I get, and is the quality guaranteed?
You get a PCM16 WAV at the input sample rate. The model works internally at 16 kHz, so exporting at 48 kHz does not restore detail the model discarded. Quality is not guaranteed and results have not been independently listened to. The tool cannot repair unclear words, clipping, or heavy room echo.
How large can my recording be?
Up to 120 seconds and 25 MiB, in WAV, MP3, or another format your browser can decode, with one or two channels. Processing uses substantial device memory, so shorter clips are safer.
